Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) Jacksonville recently presented their 9th Annual ‘Women with Heart’ luncheon at the Florida Blue Conference Center raising over $140,000 for free healthcare for the working uninsured. This year, VIM was excited to recognize eight remarkable women who contribute to our community’s health and well-being. Each of the 2025 honorees was selected unanimously as a Woman with Heart. These exceptional women stood out from the crowd as they gave their time and expertise to help those less fortunate and in need. They served as leaders, mentors, researchers, educators, healers, and always a shining example for others to emulate.” It gave us great pleasure to recognize their accomplishments. We are so very grateful to all past and present Women with Heart for their help and generous support of this mission,” said organizer Maria Mastromatteo. Throughout 2025, the awardees will share their influence by serving as advocates for VIMs mission to help the organization generate the much-needed awareness and funding to provide low-income, working, uninsured adults with quality healthcare.
