SUMMARY:Florida Blue offering Caregiver Resource event at Florida Blue Center
DESCRIPTION:Did you know November is National Family Caregivers Month? There are more than 2.3 million family members in Florida who serve as caregivers for their loved ones\, providing an estimated 1.6 billion hours of unpaid care each year. And the number increases significantly when you include those caring for children who have challenges. Caregiving often takes a toll on the caregiver’s physical and mental health\, as they focus their attention on the individual in need of support\, at times at the expense of their own well-being. \nFlorida Blue is committed to serving both those who need care and their caregivers through a growing offering of forward-thinking tools\, networks\, and personalized services. We are hosting an event to provide much needed resources to the community. \nWHAT:            Florida Blue Caregiver Connection Event \n\nWHEN:            Tuesday\, November 12\, 2024 \n\nTIME:               5:30 – 6:30 p.m. \n\nWHERE:            Florida Blue Center – Town Center \n4855 Town Center Parkway \n(904) 363-5870 \nDETAILS:           \nAs a caregiver\, you’re dedicated to taking care of others. But who’s caring for you? It’s important to take time for yourself and take care of your own health and well-being. \n\nJoin us for a conversation with Debbie Del Rosario\, senior director of behavioral health clinical programs at Florida Blue. Learn how to find time to rest\, recharge\, and regain balance in your life.

James Weldon Johnson Park is located in the heart of downtown Jacksonville\, adjacent to City Hall\, the main branch of the Jacksonville Public Library\, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. James Weldon Johnson Park’s mission is to transform this park into a moder\, urban space that engages diverse communities and restores vitality to our city’s public square. \n  \nMOCA JACKSONVILLE \nThe Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2024\, as the oldest art museum in the region and one of the first museums of modern and contemporary art to be established in the US. This celebration year is an opportunity for MOCA to give back to the community that has been its home for a century by presenting groundbreaking exhibitions and programs that will engage the community and elevate Jacksonville as a regional destination for arts and culture. \nOne hundred years ago\, a group of visionary\, pioneering women came together to imagine the kind of city they wanted Jacksonville to be — the kind of community they wanted to live in and be a part of. At the core of their vision for a rich\, vital\, dynamic city were art\, culture\, and education. Thus\, what we now call MOCA Jacksonville was born — first as a series of exhibitions by artists of the day\, used as a fundraising tool to support public school education; then as a guild; and later as an art museum and educational leader. \nA century later\, MOCA’s mission remains focused on the art\, artists\, and ideas of our time\, with a vision that unites education\, creativity\, and community building in the heart of downtown Jacksonville. Throughout 2024\, MOCA will celebrate its centennial year — looking to the past to recognize the legacy of the visionary leaders and important milestones that have brought us to this point; marking this moment with extraordinary exhibitions and programs that will not only elevate MOCA\, but provide a stimulus and create an energized destination for our Downtown to build upon; and imagine the future that we want for our great city\, nourishing our community through art and culture for the next 100 years. \nFor more information including hours of operation\, admission prices and upcoming exhibitions and programs\, call 904.366.6911 or visit mocajacksonville.unf.edu. \n  \n### \n\n\n\nAMBER SESNICK (She/Her) \nDIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING \nW: 904-620-3224 // C: 904-303-0703 \n  \nMOCA JACKSONVILLE   \nA Cultural Institute of UNF \n333 North Laura Street\, Jacksonville\, Florida 32202 \nInstagram + Twitter @mocajax // Facebook: MOCAjacksonville \nMOCAJACKSONVILLE.UNF.EDU \n  \n
