SUMMARY:Springtime Tallahassee Festival
DESCRIPTION:With so many people looking for a mid-sized destination with plenty of outdoor offerings to escape everyday life this spring\, Tallahassee awaits as a solution for travelers. \nTallahassee\, one of the most biologically varied locations in the United States\, was appropriately voted one of Southern Living’s top 10 cities in the South. Tallahassee features more than 700 miles of varied trails\, earning it the nickname “Trailahassee\,” with plenty of opportunities for bicycling\, hiking\, kayaking\, equestrian riding\, and running. The city’s varied geography produces a network of trails unlike any other place in Florida. Families may discover breathtaking scenery\, wonderful animals\, and recreational opportunities this spring whether on land or in the sea. \nWe’ve rounded up a handful of fun spring activities you can participate in below. \nSpringtime Tallahassee Festival\nMarch 31- April 1 \nThis annual event is fun for the entire family and all friends. As you enjoy local entrainment\, you may browse through various vendors that offer crafts\, art\, and foods. \nTallahassee Bike Fest: Rally in Tally \nApril 14-16 \nThis is a perfect event for bikers seeking a change of scenery that only Tallahassee can offer. The canopy roads and rolling hills intrigue bikers and their families to participate in this rally. Throughout the celebration there will be various pageants\, parties\, and a street festival in the downtown area of Tallahassee. \nLeMoyne’s Chain of Parks Art Festival \nApril 15-16 \nAn alumnus from the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering\, John Ensor Parker returns to Tallahassee to showcase his work. John has advanced in painting\, drawing\, video creation\, and more with multiple large scale public art installations at locations such as the Manhattan Bridge or the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. \nWord of South Festival featuring Ben Folds & the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra \nApril 21-23 \nBen Folds & the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra are featured in the festival celebrating literature and music.
