DMAB programming has evolved to include the performing arts\, academic enrichment and civic engagement as well as job skills training for parents. In 2010\, with help from City Councilman Warren Jones\, DMAB was selected by the City of Jacksonville and JaxParks to be “in residence” at the J.S. Johnson Community Center’s Youth Room in Jacksonville. Then in 2015\, the City offered up the Edith Brown Ford community center to DMAB so that they had the space and capacity to help even more youth through their arts and academic enrichment programs. The mission of Don’t Miss A Beat\, Inc. is to blend music\, art\, academic achievement\, and civic engagement to inspire and enlighten children and teens in the Riverside\, Brooklyn and Woodstock communities.
