Whether it’s a glass of orange juice or a flute of Champagne as you wait for your room, The Ritz Carlton stays on top of their job!

Free Press Urban Traveler arrived at the Ritz-Carlton on a Friday evening and was in awe of the service and friendly staff that exemplifies and emanates Ritz-Carlton royal service. Ritz-Carlton palatial grounds are immaculate with hotel room views facing either the pool or ocean. Depending on your level of tranquility a bevy of amenities are available to inspire your beachside creative.

First on the agenda was the tour of the Ritz-Carlton grounds where we witnessed the resident Pirate and his pet Macaw!! The lobby and hotel was bursting with children excited and eager to engage in a day of adventure. The hotel boasts a movie theatre, hotel gift shops, yes two gift shops loaded with specialty items, such as “Salt,” which boast over 30 various salt combinations that are sure to please your palate and light up your favorite homemade dish! The highlight of the evening was dinner at Coast Restaurant located near the pool area. Coast is an eclectic restaurant, “offering a fresh new taste on coastal cuisine with a seasonal menu that includes a local seafood, steaks, fresh pasta, salads and small plates created with great passion”. As we perused the menu, we began salivating over the cuisine exposé and commenced to ordering appetizers: Blue crab deviled eggs with quinoa; baby kale and spinach salad topped with marinated feta, tomato, olives, cucumber and broken vinaigrette. Rounding out the main course was the chicken & waffles laced with green tomato jam, sweet grass dairy’s heat cheese, rosemary-bourbon glaze and Tabasco butter braised Swiss chard topped with raisin gremalata and the New York Strip 39 14oz, Cox Family Farm Aged Bone-In Strip Loin Creamed Corn served with baby carrots and pickled beans.

After dinner, we danced the night away in the Ritz-Carlton lobby dancehall, where the house band played upbeat songs reminiscent of Motown and Beach Boys rolled up in one! Finally we ascended to our room and sat out on the balcony and as the website states: “Ritz Carlton hotel embodies the finest luxury experience! With the crown symbolizing royalty and the lion representing wealth, the iconic signature has endured and continues to represent elegance and refinement”. Take a look!
