The Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (DST) partnered with the City of Jacksonville and the U.S. Census to ensure that the most underserved communities are counted.  Recently DST and partners held a press conference to kick off the 2020 Census.  An upcoming Impact Weekend will dedicate their efforts to ensure everyone is counted through working with Senior Citizen Centers, DCPS schools and the local public libraries to educate and assist individuals with completing the census. Sunday, March 29th has been dubbed as RED Sunday, and the Deltas will work with twelve churches throughout the city to educate families and help them complete their census via laptops and smart phones. Shown at the press conference are speakers (l-r): Yvonne McClain, Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. 2020 Census Lead, Mayor Lenny Curry & Nathaniel Ford, CEO, JTA.
