Karen Britt, a native of Jacksonville, has been selected as the 2018 Ms. Corporate America Jacksonville following an application and an intensive interview process. The MCA competition provides a forum for women to promote themselves, enhance self-confidence, strengthen leadership skills, accomplish personal and professional goals and establish friendships with other professional women.
As a national competition, MCA also provides sponsors and contestants with the perfect platform to promote their business, product, or service. Contestants can range from entrepreneurs to executives.
Ms. Britt will compete for the state title during the pageants 11th anniversary next April in Orlando.
“Not only do we represent the professionalism of women across America, we represent a woman’s strength, courage, confidence, dedication and commitment to their family, career and community,” said Karen. Karen currently is a Community Advocate for Wellcare Health Plans and President of College Tour Experience (CTE) which helps students prepare for college. She does workshops that assist students to apply for scholarships and college tours. She has two adult children Kelley and Kelvin Barnes and is a member of Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
