Howard McGee Obituary

HOWARD McGEE, 12/24/1950 – 04/13/2018 – A legacy historic Eastside resident and Community Activist, who was born December 24, 1950 in Jacksonville, Florida to Hodges McGee of Miccosukee, Florida and Ellen (Sistrunck) McGee of Tuskegee, Alabama died at UF Health Shands on Friday, April 13, 2018 following a 14-year battle with renal disease.

He is survived by his Daughter: Niki Brunson; Son: Donald (Nard) Wilcox, Sr.; Grandchildren: Nicholas, Donald, Jr. (Bud), Aiden, and Amari; Great-granddaughter: Kylie; Brothers: Herman McGee, Sr. (Brenda), Alford McGee (retired NASA Scientist), and Tommy Chandler (Gracie); Neices: Kimyatta, Temekee, Tyesha, Marquisia, and Minnie; Nephews: Sammy, Thornton, Jerome, Herman, Jr.(Pee-Wee), Tommy Jr., and Todd; Mathew Gilbert High School Class of 1967, 1968, and 1969, Teammates, alumni, and historic Eastside community members.

He was preceded in death by Sisters: Catherine McGee, Minnie Lee Chandler, Brenda McGee, and Debra McGee; Brothers: George Chandler and Hodges McGee.

Memorial Services will be held at the TS Warden Funeral Home Chapel located at 4319 N Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32209 at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018.  Viewing begins at 9:30 a.m.
