Hob Nob Kicks Off Local Political Season

Shown above is Velma Rounsville and Evangeline Watson

The Duval County Democratic Black Caucus (DCDBC) members were “in the house” representing the Black Caucus and community at the annual political Hob Nob Event at the Hyatt Hotel. While heavy political advertising has been bombarding the media, the HobNob unofficially kicks off the city’s campaign season. It serves as an opportunity to meet, greet, mingle and cast votes for one’s preferred candidates for public office in Duval County and around the State.
African Americans in Duval County represent just over half the registered Democrats or approximately 130,000 of the 232,000 registered Democrats.
