On Saturday August 8, 2015, The Gamma Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated convened at the Sea Palm Conference Center and Resort on St Simons Island, GA for their Annual Leadership Workshop. The Committee, chaired by Ms. Norma S. White, 25th International President, and Ms. Bettye Sessions, presented several Leadership Workshops, a Chapter Talent Show, and a Black Historical Tours presentation. In recognition of the Sorority’s Launching New Dimensions of Service Target I, Educational Enrichment, Members donated more than 240 backpacks and school supplies. The goal is for the Sorority to donate One Million Backpacks and supplies to Students from 2014 -2018. The Leadership Retreat was closed out by Chapter President, Ms. Mary Davis.
