As a part of Florida Coastal School of Law Founders’ Day celebration, the school’s foundation paid honor to one of its charter class students, Dr. Chester A. Aikens.
The first annual Dr. Chester A. Aikens Renaissance Award and Scholarship Gala was held last weekend in the school’s atrium.

The recipient of the award was Atty. Rhonda Peoples-Waters. City Council Member, and close friend of the Aikens family, Joyce Morgan served as the emcee for the evening and the Katz Downstairz provided the musical entertainment. The highlights of the evening were a tribute video for the late Dr. Aikens and a moving speech by his wife, Jean.

All proceeds raised will benefit the school’s pro-bono legal clinics that have provided free legal resources in Jacksonville for the past 15 years. To learn more about the Foundation or the free legal services provided by the school, visit, www.fcsl.edu/clinic/clinical-programs.
