Family Flashback Festival Honors Community Servant Marvin Robinson

The 2nd annual Flashback Memorial Day celebration was held at Lonnie C. Miller Park on Memorial Day. The day long celebration brought attendees out with their lawn chairs and grills for a fun day at the park to honor American fallen soldiers and heroes The highlight of the Flashback celebration was the City of Jacksonville Resolution presented to Jacksonville native Marvin “Roach” Robinson, which was introduced by Council Member Brown and co-sponsored by District 12 Council Member Doyle Carter. Resolution 2014-158-A read: “A resolution honoring and commending Marvin “Roach” Robinsons for his lifetime contribution to the community.  Whereas, a native of Jacksonville, Marvin “Roach” Robinson has been a pioneer, educator, coach, and a true asset to the community by impacting the lives of boys and young men through his positive demeanor, selfless commitment, and genuine concern which has contributed to his success as a mentor, earning him the respect and admiration of his community.”
