U.S. Rep. Al Lawson (FL-5) hosted a leadership breakfast with community leaders at Edward Waters College last weekend. Lawson gave an update on his first eight months in the U.S. House and heard from community leaders and stakeholders about their ideas for how they can work together to help in their communities. Lawson also talked about two bills he recently introduced included once which would establish a small business start-up tax credit for veterans creating businesses in underserved communities, and another providing economic relief for those who have student loans. He also presented EWC President Nat Glover with $2,00 in scholarship checks.
