The inaugural graduating class of Englewood High School’s Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. Academy were recognized last week as graduates who have not just earned their high school diploma, but an Associate of Science college degree. The graduating seniors will also hold industry certification and an opportunity to go straight into the local workforce or opt to continue their higher education.
Through the program, students are able to complete all high school requirements during their ninth and 10th grade school years on the high school campus. They also receive paid summer internship at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. In addition, the company offers year-round mentoring, access to their Jacksonville facility, and priority interviewing for full-time employment upon graduation.
