Brotherhood of Police Officers Honor Deserving Students with Scholarships

   The Jacksonville Brotherhood of Police Officers Inc., a nonprofit charitable organization comprised of 98% minority law enforcement officers, recently awarded three scholarships to young Black male students. The organization is funded solely by contributions made by its members. The students were chosen based on written essays for scholarships ranging from $1000 to $2,500. DeMarius plans to attend St. Leo College and both Carleton and Brian will attend FSCJ. High School Seniors and college freshman who are not older than 21 and unmarried are eligible to apply for this scholarship each year in February.
