For their military initiative the Beta Alpha Zeta Chapter, of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., collected toiletries for homeless veterans. The items were given to The Veterans Compassionate Care Project of Elim Community Outreach, Inc. The chapter by reaching out to the its members and the community were able to donate needed items such as soap, shampoo, lotions, razors, female hygiene items, tooth brushes, etc. The toiletry items donated by the Beta Alpha Zeta chapter will provide the basic needs of homeless veterans to uplift their minds, spirits and bodies. The chapter donated over 710 toiletry items that were presented to the Veteran’s Compassionate Care Project of Elim Community Outreach, Inc. The chapter was honored to provide a “hand up” to the homeless veterans in the city of Jacksonville, Florida. The chapter is proud to salute the veterans of Jacksonville, FL and all their efforts to serve our country. We will continue to provide this service to our veterans annually.
