Veteran stylist Julia Leggett-Nelson hosted the inaugural presentation of, Shine Bright Like a Diamond Hair Awards, last weekend at the San Marco Theatre. The awards show, modeled after The Grammys, featured a champagne brunch, fashion show and live entertainment. The event celebrated the area’s top stylists, with proceeds benefitting Hubbard House. “Stylists are different than other entrepreneurs, because of the natural closeness of the stylist and client relationship. Jacksonville stylist’s consistently give unspoken generosity to their clients and in the neighborhoods. It was far past due our industry celebrates and honors our own,” said Julia Leggett-Nelson.
