Annie Ruth Foundation Students Engage with the Legendary Melba Moore

While in Jacksonville, the legendary Melba Moore hosted a Youth Monologue Workshop exclusively for students who are involved with the AnnieRuth Foundation. The workshop took place Friday, February 24, at the Highlands Branch Library.   Twenty-four students attended the workshop and received personal critiques from Ms. Moore as they individually took to the stage to perform a pre-written monologue. On Saturday, as a part of her one woman monologue, “Still Standing, the Melba Moore Story,” Ms. Moore shared her platform to raise awareness of the AnnieRuth Foundation’s Summer Internship Program.

The AnnieRuth Foundation’s Summer Internship Program is currently underway! The program is an opportunity for local high school juniors and seniors to compete for a summer job opportunity. To learn more about the program, visit www.sowingseeds.today. The application deadline is March 10, 2017.
