On October 22, 2015 the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Gamma Rho Omega Chapter, Incorporated in partnership with Community First Credit Union and Access Information Protected hosted a Community Shred Event. The community was encouraged to not become a victim of fraud and bring up to 50 standard size boxes of old records to be shredded. The free event, chaired by Ms. LaVonne Mitchell and Ms. Ingrid Lewis-Sherles, was held at the Community First Credit Union on Merrill Road. There will be another shred event held on October 29, 2015 at the Community First Credit Union at 11907 Lem Turner Rd from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The Chapter President is Ms. Mary Davis.
