Senior Prom Reveals its Never too Late to Just Dance

When you reach the 12th grade in high school, the highlight of the year is attending the prom with a date.  Students wait all year to invite their date to attend the prom for a night to remember and for some, the memories may not be so good.
In an effort to make sure no sweetheart is left behind on the prom date experience, the Extraordinary Men Social Club (EMSC) held their second annual “Adult Prom,” at the National Guard Armory. The event celebrated individuals who did not attend their high school prom and are excited to have the experience with the date of their choice. Hundreds donned their black tie attire to enjoy the festivities.  Couples flooded social media with captions that they had just attended their missed high school prom. Proceeds from the adult prom are used to cover cost for other activities planned throughout the year.
Established in 2016, the EMSC  consists of local businessmen eager to develop, strengthen, mentor and motivate youth and seniors.  The group meets monthly to brainstorm on events that will strengthen their community in addition to volunteering in the community. Their next event is their second annual Easter Extravaganza Cook-Out, Saturday, April 20th, 12 p.m. at Panama Park, 6912 Buffalo Avenue.
