Rick Ross Buys 87 Acres of Land For $1 Million

Rick Ross has just made an investment that would make him wealthy in the years to come. On Thursday, the “Hustlin” rapper posted on Instagram that he purchased 87 acres of land for $1 million.

In 2012, Evander sold the property to a bank for $7.5 million, and Ross later bought it in 2014 at $5.5 million. The music professional, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II, has owned the property for more than six years.

The 54,000-square-foot home has 109 rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a bowling alley, and a movie. One of the pools in the home needs 350,000 gallons of water to fill it. A dining room in the home can host up to 100 guests, while the in-home theatre can accommodate up to 135 people. It costs more than $1 million annually just to maintain the home.

In 2019, during an interview with rolling out, the rapper shared his strategy for saving money when he began his career in entertainment.

“I was blessed to go through the struggle, so when I got my first big check, I did not spend a coin for 11 months,” Ross said. “I just had my mind on something else. I just knew that I ate Ramen noodles long enough, and I did not want to go back to those noodles yet. So, once I got on, I stacked some [money] so I was in the position to try something new.”

The 44-year-old made the real-estate transaction through Metro West Realty’s Mitt Conerly. The property is 20 miles from Atlanta.
