Beatrice “Bea” Lewis highlighted the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc., Delta Delta Chapter’s 36th Annual Teach-A-Rama with a spirited and thought-provoking discussion on “Understanding the Behaviors of Parents and Students.” The event is a part of the sorority’s three-point Youth Education and Services (Yes) program held throughout the country.

“This was one of our most powerful Teach-A-Ramas because our presenters empowered us to use different strategies to serve our students, and strengthened our commitment to educate and value every student,” said Betty LeRoy, president of Delta Delta Chapter.
The empowerment event for educators and parents also included breakout sessions with topics such as: School Choice–It’s Your Choice; Surviving the School Experience and Duval Daily News.
This year’s Teach-A-Rama was held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at North Shore Elementary School from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and teachers attending received professional development points.
